St Martin’s Church Hall, Church Road, Chavey Down, Ascot, SL5 8RR

Thursday, 30th September, 7:30pm

Presented by Ann Memmott, Autism Consultant for the Oxford Diocese.
This will be a talk, with discussion, about welcoming those with Autism and Asperger Syndrome, both adults and children, in our churches and communities.
Ann has been working as a part-time voluntary Autism adviser to the Church of England and various other groups. She, herself, has Aspergers and is married with a teenage son.
A lot of her work has been to help find ways for children on the Autistic spectrum to settle into churches. She has given talks to churches and groups, and offers training for leadership teams and pastoral groups.
Ann is author of the national guidelines for welcoming and including those on the Autistic spectrum for churches, available at: http://www.oxford.anglican.org (use their search tool).
“We are very fortunate to have Ann talking to us on 30th September, and look forward to welcoming all those who are interested in this very important part of our ministry. Bring your questions with you.

There is no charge for the evening, but we plan to give a donation to the Autistic Society to show our appreciation for the work Ann does.”
