The Church wishes to appoint a new Music Director from Autumn 2009 to lead and coordinate all areas of music and sung worship. The existing music team includes two able worship leaders, competent instrumentalists and a number of singers. We greatly value the services of an experienced and flexible organist.
We are looking to appoint someone who can fulfil the following criteria:
* A committed Christian to become part of the Ministry Team
* Knowledge of, and experience in leading contemporary styles of worship
* Desire to encourage and build up new musicians and singers
* Appreciation of, and ability to lead, traditional styles of worship when necessary
* Willingness to form and lead a new choir to sing on a monthly basis, major festivals and for occasional weddings
* Ability to play the organ would be useful but not essential
We are offering a generous honorarium.
