West Gallery Music Workshop – Picture Review19th November saw an interesting musical get-together at Christ Church Ottershaw when Francis Road led some 40 singers and 8 instrumentalists in a workshop of West Gallery Music – church music of the Georgian period accompanied by wood and bow string instruments. The afternoon also included readings and a display of original music to illustrate the times, and an authentic “serpent” which was on display and also being played by Francis who allowed some brass instrumentalists in the group to have a go as well. All agreed that this was one of the best fun workshops had in a long time!
