It’s time for the Shoebox Appeal again. In 2015 the Shoe Box appeal distributed 116,576 Christmas shoe boxes, an all-time record, to children in Eastern Europe and Asia. Since the scheme started in 1994 more than two million shoe boxes have been distributed.
Many of our deanery churches are taking part – join in and donate a shoebox or three via one of the participating churches. It’s simple: fill a shoebox (or a dedicated Operation Christmas Child box) with small presents for a child somewhere in the world (you can choose the sex and age group), add your £3 cheque to cover shipping costs and deliver to your chosen church before November! You can also make your shipping donation online and later track what country your personal box has been sent to.
