east to west Update April 2016

This month prayers are focussed on celebration and praise!! These stories are a reflection of the work e2w do with 1400 young people and families per year. Please join in to praise God and thank him for his goodness, faithfulness and guidance. Praise God...

  • ...for the school refuser who has not been on site since before Christmas due to severe anxiety but recently came into school to have a session with her RSW (relational support worker) with smiles and conversation – the first tentative steps back to reengaging with her education.
  • ...for the boy who became so distraught he ran away overnight but appeared in school to meet the RSW because he knew he would be safe.
  • ...for the year 11s who have the opportunity to attend exam stress management courses in five schools as they begin to struggle with the overwhelming feelings.
  • ...for a family that finally had the referral for family support work that has been so needed.
  • ...for those in authority who try their hardest to provide for the needs of desperate families from within a dwindling financial pot.
  • ...for the breakthrough of the girl who in a blinding moment of clarity finally saw herself as worthwhile and valuable and has stopped self-harming.
  • ...for everything that Emily, Supported Lodgings Lead, who is moving on to new adventures, has brought to east to west; for her wisdom, care and experience.
  • ...for the way two RSWs can span schools to jointly work with members of the same family in need.
  • ...for the amazing partners who work alongside e2w to support the young people whilst in supported lodgings, and also raise awareness of the project in so many ways.

Thank you so much for sharing in this time of praise; your prayers are hugely appreciated.
