Val Ward Memorial Concert and Monsell Room Opening - Picture ReviewEarly July saw the official opening of St Jude’s Church Englefield Green’s Monsell Room facility by Royal Holloway Principal Prof Paul Layzell. The happy event was celebrated with champagne and a fantastic spread after a wonderful recital by acclaimed pianist James Kirby on the Bluethner piano graciously given by the late Valerie Ward, local musician and member of St Jude’s Church until her death last year, to whom the concert was dedicated.
