From Priest-in-Charge to VicarAn unusual event took place at St Mary’s Church in Thorpe on Sunday 7 June, when Priest-in-Charge of five years, Revd Damian Miles, was instituted and inducted as Vicar of Thorpe during a Patronal Festival Eucharist in the presence of Bishop Andrew, Archdeacon Paul Bryer, Rural Dean Jeff Wattley and Lay Chair of Runnymede Deanery Keith Malcouronne who all enjoyed the celebratory party in the vicarage gardens that followed the service.
